Meteorology warns of heavy rainfall
The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) announced that locally heavy rainfall is expected in the eastern Marmara region, northeastern Aegean region, western part of the Western Black Sea region and northern Central Anatolia, as well as around Kastamonu and Çorum.
According to the MGM's assessment for Wednesday, September 16, 2026, no significant change in air temperatures is expected. Temperatures are forecast to remain above seasonal norms in western areas and around seasonal norms in other regions.
Rainfall is expected to be locally heavy in the eastern parts of Marmara, northeastern Aegean region, western part of the Western Black Sea region and northern parts of Central Anatolia, as well as around Kastamonu and Çorum.
The MGM warned residents in the affected areas to remain cautious and take necessary precautions against possible adverse conditions.
