Gold and silver rise in commodity markets
Istanbul, September 16 (Hibya) — In commodity markets, gold gained 0.71 percent and silver rose 1.93 percent, while Brent crude fell 0.79 percent and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude declined 1.09 percent.
Commodity markets saw gains in precious metals and mostly declines in energy products. According to Investing data, the December 2026 gold futures contract rose 0.71 percent to 4,363.65 dollars, while silver gained 1.93 percent to 65.090 dollars.
The December 2026 copper futures contract rose 0.34 percent to 6.4800 dollars, November 2026 U.S. soybeans increased 0.17 percent to 1,321.50 dollars, and December 2026 U.S. wheat gained 0.65 percent to 732.50 dollars.
On the energy side, October 2026 WTI fell 1.09 percent to 104.68 dollars, while November 2026 Brent crude declined 0.79 percent to 107.89 dollars. October 2026 natural gas fell 0.88 percent to 2.920 dollars, while heating oil declined 0.83 percent to 5.2155 dollars.
The October 2026 RBOB gasoline futures contract also fell 0.40 percent to 3.4512 dollars.
