Luxon: New Zealand's exports increased by 12 percent in April
Wellington, May 21 (Hibya) - New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon announced that the country's exports increased by 12 percent in April compared to the same period last year.
New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon provided information regarding the country’s April export figures, the contribution of foreign trade to the local economy, and the government’s global trade vision.
Drawing attention to the economic data, Luxon said: “There is more positive trade news today. New Zealand’s exports rose by 12 percent in April compared to the same period last year, which is another encouraging sign that our economy is moving in the right direction.”
Emphasizing the role of international trade in local development, Luxon stated: “When we trade with the world, we grow the economy right here at home. Every kiwi fruit, lamb leg, and bottle of wine we sell overseas means more money flowing into local communities here in our own country.”
Expressing his party’s determination to expand trade opportunities, Luxon concluded his statement by saying: “The National Party has a plan to build the future by working on the global stage to secure more trade agreements and create more opportunities for New Zealanders to prosper.”
