Luxon: It is good to have a partner like Vietnam in an uncertain global environment
Wellington, May 20 (Hibya) - New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon stated that during his meeting with Vietnam’s new Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, they discussed measures to address rising prices and the global crisis following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Referring to the main agenda items of the meeting, Luxon said, “With the closure of the Strait of Hormuz driving up the prices of fuel and other everyday goods, we discussed how we are responding to the crisis.”
Highlighting the cooperation potential between the two countries, Luxon stated, “There is broad scope for us to support each other by increasing trade and opportunities for both our peoples.”
Emphasizing the critical role of partnerships during periods of global instability, Prime Minister Luxon concluded his statement by saying, “In an uncertain global environment, it is good to have a comprehensive strategic partner like Vietnam.”
