Luxon: A lasting solution in the Middle East goes through diplomacy
Wellington, April 28 (Hibya) – New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon stated that a lasting solution in the Middle East can be achieved through diplomacy.
New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, in his statement, drew attention to the importance of ensuring stability in the Gulf region and restoring safe maritime transport in the Strait of Hormuz in order to reduce rising fuel prices and the costs of daily consumer goods.
Luxon said that in this context he held a phone call with Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, expressing his gratitude for Pakistan’s efforts to secure a ceasefire between the United States of America and Iran.
Referring to the importance of Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives to achieve long-term peace, Luxon emphasized that a sustainable solution in the Middle East would be possible through diplomacy.
