Lavrov: The war against Iran must be stopped immediately
Moscow, March 4 (Hibya) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the attacks on Iran have caused serious consequences across the region and called for an immediate end to the fighting.
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said the war in Iran must be stopped immediately, stating that the conflict taking place today is in fact a war and an attack against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Noting that the consequences of the conflict are being felt across the entire region, Lavrov said: “We firmly advocate for the immediate cessation of hostilities. Everything must be done to stop these actions and the war itself.”
Regarding the claims presented as justification for the war that Iran is developing nuclear weapons, Lavrov said: “We have still not seen any evidence of this.”
Referring to a possible Israeli ground operation in Lebanon, Lavrov stated: “This is clearly an escalation and a departure from the existing agreements concerning Lebanon.”
