According to data from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred at 20:54, 219 kilometers east of Attu Station in Alaska, at a depth of 42.0 kilometers.
The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 6.5.
Additionally, the tsunami warning system was activated.
