Lahbib: We condemn indiscriminate attacks against civilians
Brussels, April 30 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib condemned attacks against civilians, drawing attention to escalating tensions in the Middle East and the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon.
EU Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib made assessments regarding the current situation in the region.
Referring to the humanitarian toll, Lahbib said: “The Middle East is in flames. Lebanon is paying the heaviest price: thousands dead, 1.2 million displaced.”
Recalling the legal framework, Lahbib stated: “We condemn indiscriminate attacks against civilians. International humanitarian law must be respected without exception.”
