Kallas condemns Houthi attack on Riyadh airport
Brussels, October 11 (Hibya) - European Commission Vice-President Kaja Kallas condemned the Houthi attack on the international airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

In her statement, Kallas described the attack as “a horrific act of terrorism” and said indiscriminate attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure could not be justified under any circumstances.
Kallas said the European Union stood in solidarity with Saudi Arabia, extended her condolences to the families of those killed and wished the injured a speedy recovery. She also said she was in close contact with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan.
Kallas said European Union foreign ministers would discuss the rising tensions in the region on Monday. She highlighted the importance of strengthening coordination between the EU’s Aspides naval mission operating in the Red Sea and the Saudi-led Multinational Maritime Defense Coalition.
