Israeli President Herzog meets Cypriot President Christodoulides
Jerusalem, 22 December (Hibya) – Israeli President Isaac Herzog met with South Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides in Israel.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog announced that he met in Israel with South Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides.
Herzog stated that the meeting addressed the close friendship between Israel and Cyprus and their strategic partnership in the Eastern Mediterranean. The talks also evaluated the deepening of trilateral cooperation among Israel, Cyprus, and Greece, as well as the importance of the Israel–Egypt natural gas export agreement for regional stability.
President Herzog reiterated his demand and commitment to the release of the last Israeli hostage he said is being held in Gaza, Ran Gvili.
On behalf of the State of Israel, Herzog conveyed Christmas and New Year greetings to Christodoulides for the Christian communities in Cyprus and the Holy Land.
