Iran: US military vessels will not be allowed to enter the Persian Gulf
Beijing, October 24 (Hibya) - Ali Abdollahi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, stated that US military vessels would not be allowed to enter the Persian Gulf under any circumstances or at any time, describing Washington's hopes of returning to the region as "nothing more than a fantasy."
According to a report by CCTV:
"According to reports published by Iranian media on Saturday, Ali Abdollahi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, announced that US military vessels had been banned from entering the Persian Gulf.
Abdollahi claimed that the Iranian armed forces had successfully contained the US Navy and that its vessels were unable to approach the waters surrounding the Persian Gulf or Iranian territorial waters.
Describing the US military's expectation of returning to the Persian Gulf as 'nothing more than a fantasy,' Abdollahi argued that the United States, Israel and their military forces would become increasingly trapped in a quagmire of their own making. He added that this situation would become more apparent as the conflict continued."
