The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that it carried out an airstrike targeting Hezbollah operatives reportedly operating in the Al Aqidah area of Lebanon.

In a statement, the IDF said: "Earlier today, Commando Brigade troops identified a terrorist cell belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization operating on motorcycles in the Al Aqidah area, near the security zone where IDF forces are operating. The terrorists' activity posed a threat to our troops. Following their identification, the IDF conducted a precise strike against the terrorists in order to eliminate the threat. The IDF will continue to act to remove any threat to its forces and will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to attack the citizens of the State of Israel or IDF troops."
