Israeli President Isaac Herzog issued a message of condolence over the death of Oren Nahari, one of Israel's prominent journalists and media figures.

Herzog said in his message that Nahari had congratulated him on his final program only a few days earlier, adding that the journalist had provided viewers with a window onto the world for decades.

Herzog said Nahari stood out for his curiosity, professionalism and openness, noting that he left behind a rich journalistic and cultural legacy as well as a distinctive voice of his own.

Herzog offered his condolences to Nahari's family and loved ones, saying, “May his memory be a blessing.”
