French President Macron held talks with Pezeshkian and Trump
Paris, April 8 (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron held talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and United States (US) President Donald Trump.
French President Emmanuel Macron stated that he held talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and US President Donald Trump.
Macron said, “I expressed my hope that the ceasefire will be fully implemented by the parties in all areas of conflict, including Lebanon.” He noted that this is a necessary condition for the ceasefire to be credible and lasting.
Macron stated that this process should pave the way for comprehensive negotiations aimed at ensuring security for everyone in the Middle East, adding:
“Any agreement must also address concerns regarding Iran’s nuclear and ballistic programs, as well as its regional policy and practices that hinder navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Only in this way can a solid and lasting peace be built with the participation of all parties that can contribute. France will also fully contribute to this process in close cooperation with its partners in the Middle East.”
