Fletcher issues message on returns to Syria
New York, September 17 (Hibya) - United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Under-Secretary-General Tom Fletcher said 3.8 million Syrians have returned to their country, noting that landmines, security problems and regional tensions threaten the future of returns.
In a post on his social media account, Fletcher called for investment in Syria's recovery, the clearance of landmines and keeping Syria out of regional conflicts.
Fletcher said the Syrian people are struggling with the current conditions and noted that the international community should also support this process.
