Budrys: Support for Ukraine must be increased, sanctions strengthened
Vilnius, September 18 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys said that as Russia continues its attacks on Ukraine, sanctions must be strengthened and support for Ukraine increased in order to bring Russia to the negotiating table.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys commented on his meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.
Budrys said the meeting was productive and open, stating, “As Russia’s terror against Ukraine continues, we must use all the tools at our disposal to bring the aggressor to the negotiating table.”
Emphasizing the need for stronger sanctions and increased support for Ukraine, Budrys noted that as winter approaches, protecting and strengthening Ukraine’s energy infrastructure remains a priority.
