Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei criticized the energy policies and regional positions of the United States and Israel.

Baqaei emphasized the rhetoric of the United States and Israel claiming that they “preserve peace and stability” in global energy markets, arguing that these statements constitute a “false narrative.” Accusing the countries in question of “warmongering,” Baqaei claimed that diplomatic processes were being weakened and insecurity was being created along energy routes.

In his remarks targeting the United States and Israel, Baqaei stated, “The next major lie they put forward to justify their illegal ‘war of choice’ is the claim that they are ‘preserving peace and stability’ in global energy markets.”

Baqaei said this approach represents a strategy of “creating crises and then escalating them through the rhetoric of peace,” drawing attention to the mentality of “attributing to others what you yourself are doing.”

He also included the words, “They speak of a wasteland as if it were peace.”
