Anand met with Latvian President Rinkevics
Ottawa, May 19 (Hibya) - Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand met with Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics and stated that they discussed strengthening the partnership between the two countries and supporting long-term security within NATO.

Referring to the importance of the partnership, Anand said, “We had a productive meeting with Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics. During the meeting, we focused on strengthening the partnership between Canada and Latvia.”
Stating that they discussed operations within NATO, Anand said, “We discussed ongoing cooperation to support long-term security and stability within NATO.”
Thanking him for hosting Canadian troops, Minister Anand concluded her statement by saying, “I thanked him for hosting members of the Canadian Armed Forces deployed under Operation REASSURANCE.”
