Anand: I announced more than $68 million in new funding
Abidjan, Aug. 6 (Hibya) – Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand met with her counterpart Niale Kaba as Côte d’Ivoire marked the 66th anniversary of its independence.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand noted that Côte d’Ivoire is celebrating the 66th anniversary of its independence as a sovereign nation, emphasizing the friendship between the two countries.
Expressing her pleasure at being in Abidjan with Foreign Minister Niale Kaba, Anand said, “Building on our shared history, I announced more than $68 million in new Canadian funding and investments to expand access to capital, strengthen school feeding programs, create opportunities for women in the energy sector, and enhance regional security.”
Highlighting institutional progress in bilateral relations, Anand concluded: “We also signed an agreement to establish regular bilateral consultations.”
