Aliyev: Zangezur Corridor will strengthen transport and energy networks
Baku, April 20 (Hibya) – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that the geopolitical importance of the Middle Corridor is increasing and that it will enhance regional connectivity.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made assessments regarding regional transport and connectivity projects in his speech at the 82nd session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan is strengthening its role as a key connectivity hub, saying, “In the current geopolitical environment, the importance of the Middle Corridor is growing.”
Referring to the Zangezur Corridor, Aliyev said, “The Zangezur Corridor will further strengthen regional connectivity, connect Asia and Europe, and contribute to transport, energy and digital networks.”
