President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation.

Vladimir Putin expressed his thanks to Aliyev for the operational assistance provided in the evacuation of Russian citizens from the Islamic Republic of Iran and for the conditions created for the transit of humanitarian aid sent by Russia to Iran through the territory of Azerbaijan.

During the phone call, the leaders emphasized the importance of ending the military operations in the Middle East as soon as possible and finding a political and diplomatic solution to the conflict.
