Albares: Navigation in the Strait of Hormuz must be free
Madrid, March 24 (Hibya) - Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Jose Manuel Albares called on all parties to exercise restraint amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Jose Manuel Albares made a statement regarding the increasing military movements and diplomatic tensions in the region.
Highlighting the importance of dialogue for maintaining regional stability, Albares said: “We call on all parties for restraint and de-escalation. Navigation in the Strait of Hormuz must be free.”
Regarding Iran’s activities in the region, Albares stated: “Iran must end its attacks against Gulf countries.”
Drawing attention to the humanitarian and political situation in Lebanon, Albares said: “The situation in Lebanon is extremely concerning. We call for respect for its sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
