In his statement, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said that Addis Ababa is not just a capital, stating, “Addis Ababa is more than a capital; it is a gateway to Ethiopia’s future and a vision in motion.”

Emphasizing that the capital Addis Ababa is the heart of a rapidly transforming country, Ahmed said that modern infrastructure is being expanded, smart city solutions are being developed, and sustainable growth is being supported through inclusive housing projects.

Ahmed stated that the work being carried out in different cities of Ethiopia aims to unlock people’s potential and strengthen long-term prosperity, adding, “In our country, progress and deep-rooted heritage stand side by side. We are building modern achievements inspired by ancient civilizations.”

Noting that Ethiopia offers broad opportunities for investors, Ahmed said that Addis Ababa, as one of Africa’s diplomatic capitals, also connects the continent to the world and makes the country a strategic hub opening onto African markets. In his statement, Prime Minister Ahmed called for investment and cooperation, saying, “The future is being built here. Invest in Ethiopia, discover Ethiopia, and grow with Ethiopia.”
