Abiy Ahmed: Africa’s first unified digital service application launched
Addis Ababa, June 20 (Hibya) - Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali announced at the “Digital Excellence” summit that the country’s first unified digital service application has been launched.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali stated that the Unified MESOB Application, described as Africa’s first integrated digital public service platform, brings inter-agency services together within a single system.
It was noted that the application will reduce processing times for citizens, lower the risk of corruption, and increase transparency in public institutions.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed emphasized that this step is a concrete demonstration of Ethiopia’s technology-driven development goals and added that the experience gained will be shared with other African countries.
