Zelensky: Together with European leaders, we honored our fallen soldiers
Kyiv, July 15 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that together with the leaders of Southeast European countries and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, they honored the soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine's independence.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that together with the leaders of Southeast European countries and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, they commemorated those who lost their lives in Ukraine's struggle for independence.
In his statement, Zelensky thanked the leaders who visited Ukraine on Ukraine's Statehood Day and on the anniversary of the Christianization of Kyivan Rus.
Noting that the leaders began their visits by honoring Ukrainian heroes, Zelensky said: “Together with the leaders of Southeast European countries and Ursula von der Leyen, we honored the memory of our fallen soldiers. I thank each of them for beginning their visit on Ukraine's Statehood Day by paying tribute to our heroes.”
Zelensky added: “We hold endless gratitude and respect for the Ukrainian women and men who sacrificed their lives for Ukraine's independence and the security of all Europe.”
