Zelensky: Russian army has struck another hospital in Kyiv
Kyiv, January 5 (Hibya) — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that a hospital was targeted in a Russian attack and that one person was killed.
Ukrainian President Zelensky said that during the night the Russian army targeted a hospital in Kyiv that had an actively operating inpatient treatment unit. He stated that due to the attack patients were evacuated, there are injured people, and one person lost their life.
Zelensky said, “Unfortunately, one person has died. I extend my condolences to the family and loved ones. Everyone who needs help is receiving the necessary support.”
Emphasizing that Ukrainians will rebuild the hospital despite the attack, Zelensky noted that repair teams, energy specialists and all essential services continue their work in areas affected by new damage and power outages caused by the Russian army.
Zelensky reported that 165 attack drones were launched overnight, about 100 of them of the “Shahed” type, adding that daily support is needed for air defense, the production of interceptor drones, and energy infrastructure.
Zelensky stated that contacts with European and American partners will continue this week to secure the assistance Ukraine needs, and thanked everyone who supports his country and its people.
