Ukrainian President Zelensky, in his message for International Volunteer Day, expressed his gratitude to everyone who supports Ukraine, its defense and its social life.

Zelensky emphasized that millions of people who refused to remain indifferent have taken part in the defense of the country since the beginning of the war in 2014 and from the first days of the full-scale invasion on February 24, noting that it is thanks to this unity and solidarity that Ukrainians were able to stop the Russian occupiers beyond the front line.

Zelensky stated that it is symbolic that Volunteer Day is marked every year right before Ukraine’s Armed Forces Day, adding: “The defense of Ukraine is built upon unity and mutual support. We thank everyone who fights for Ukraine! We thank everyone who helps! Glory to Ukraine!”
