Yermak: Thanks to this meeting, Ukraine is one step closer to lasting and just peace
Kyiv, October 16 (Hibya) – The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, held a meeting with U.S. Senators.
Yermak stated that the meeting discussed defense cooperation, economic pressure on Russia, and the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.
The meeting also addressed joint defense projects, strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, and strategic issues such as energy and critical minerals.
Yermak said, “We focused on sanctions, closing loopholes that continue to feed Russia’s war machine, and restricting its energy revenues.”
He added that a U.S. bill was discussed to designate Russia as a “state sponsor of terrorism” until all abducted Ukrainian children are returned.
“Every such meeting brings Ukraine one step closer to a lasting and just peace,” Yermak concluded.
