Italian Foreign Minister Tajani reacts to Landini’s remarks about Meloni
Rome, October 16 (Hibya) – Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani criticized Maurizio Landini, Secretary-General of the Italian General Confederation of Labour (CGIL), for his remarks about Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
In a statement on social media, Tajani described Landini’s words as “offensive and sexist language” and said such remarks reflect “a lack of cultural change that leads to viewing women as inferior beings or disposable objects.”
Emphasizing that “those holding important positions must set an example, especially for the young,” Tajani expressed his support for Prime Minister Meloni, concluding his message with: “Giorgia, I embrace you.”
