Trump: I will meet Putin again in Budapest
Washington, October 16 (Hibya) – U.S. President Donald Trump announced that his more than two-hour phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin was “good and productive.”
According to The Guardian, Trump said on his Truth Social account that both sides agreed that senior officials, including their foreign ministers, would meet next week at a yet-to-be-determined location.
Trump added that he would meet Putin again in Budapest, saying, “We’ll see if we can end this ‘disgraceful’ war between Russia and Ukraine.”
Following the conversation, Trump said he would meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House tomorrow, adding, “I believe significant progress was made today.”
Trump also said he believes that success in the Middle East will contribute to talks to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
