Wong: Australia and Vietnam are strengthening their partnership

Canberra, August 12 (Hibya) - Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong said Australia and Vietnam are strengthening their partnership to help shape a peaceful, stable and prosperous region.

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong said in a statement that she met with Vietnamese Foreign Minister Lê Hoài Trung.

Wong said the meeting discussed ways to further strengthen security and economic ties between the two countries, as well as opportunities for cooperation in line with shared strategic interests, adding that Australia and Vietnam are strengthening their partnership to contribute to regional peace, stability and prosperity.
