German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul stated that at the beginning of his trip to Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil, he met with European Commission Executive Vice-President Maros Sefcovic to discuss strengthening EU-MERCOSUR relations.

Referring to the content of the meeting and the consensus reached, Wadephul said, "At the start of my trip to Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil, I held a meeting with Maros Sefcovic on how we can strengthen EU-MERCOSUR relations."

Emphasizing their shared goals for the future, Wadephul added, "We agree: based on the EU-MERCOSUR agreement, we have great potential for cooperation and growth together. Let's continue on this path."
