US President Donald Trump stated that the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) will offer political risk insurance and guarantees in order to ensure the financial security of all maritime trade. Trump noted that the insurance will be provided “at a very reasonable price.”

President Trump also said that, if necessary, the US Navy will escort tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz and that the free flow of energy worldwide will be secured. Trump emphasized that the economic and military power of the United States is the largest in the world and announced that additional measures will be taken in the coming period.
