Washington, March 6 (Hibya) - U.S. State Department official Dylan Johnson announced that nearly 24,000 American citizens have safely returned to the United States from the Middle East since February 28.

Johnson stated that this figure does not include Americans who have safely settled in other countries or those who have left the Middle East but are still on their way back to the United States. He added that the State Department is proactively contacting American citizens and offering transportation support through charter flights or ground travel.
Johnson noted that commercial flight options across the region are gradually increasing and that additional flights are planned in the coming days if security conditions allow.
Johnson emphasized that support will continue for all American citizens wishing to leave the Middle East.
