U.S. increases military activity at base in Qatar
Doha, January 13 (Hibya) – It was reported that U.S. warplanes increased their activities at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, located 200–300 kilometers from the Iranian border, and that a large number of aircraft took off.
According to CCTV, U.S. warplanes intensified their activities at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, which is 200–300 kilometers from the Iranian border. As part of these operations, several aircraft, including KC-135 aerial refueling planes and B-52 strategic bombers, took off from the base on Sunday night.
The Al Udeid Base, located approximately 35 kilometers southwest of Doha and hosting more than 10,000 U.S. troops, is known as one of the largest bases in the region. Thanks to its 4,500-meter runway, the base allows the takeoff and landing of large military aircraft.
White House Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated that diplomacy remains a priority in the U.S. approach toward Iran, but that military options are still on the table. Leavitt noted that President Donald Trump could use the power of the U.S. military if he deems it necessary.
