US Air Force fighter jet goes missing off the coast of Japan
Stockholm, January 16 (Hibya) – A US Air Force fighter jet disappeared from radar off the coast of Japan after sending a distress signal.
According to Flightradar24 data, a US Air Force F-35A fighter jet disappeared from radar off the coast of Japan, near the city of Aomori, after sending a distress signal.
According to Flightradar24, the Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II fighter jet came from the northern Sea of Japan, flew east over land south of Aomori, and then turned northeast.
The aircraft disappeared from radar at around 06:09 Turkey time. According to aircraft information provided by Flightradar24, the jet at one point transmitted the 7700 signal, a general emergency code.
