Türk: Thousands were killed in El Fasher in October
New York, February 9 (Hibya) — UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk drew attention to the mass killings and violence that took place in El Fasher.
UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk issued a statement on the human rights violations that occurred in El Fasher.
Türk said: “Last October, thousands of people were killed in El Fasher. Those responsible for mass killings, sexual violence and other atrocities must be held accountable.”
Addressing the international community, Türk stated: “I call on all states to put pressure on those who are fueling this senseless war.”
