Fletcher: Cyclone Gezani is only hours away from Madagascar
New York, February 9 (Hibya) – UN Under-Secretary-General and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher said that Cyclone Gezani is just hours away from Madagascar and is moving toward Mozambique.
UN Under-Secretary-General and Emergency Relief Coordinator Fletcher announced that Cyclone Gezani is only a few hours away from Madagascar and is heading toward Mozambique. Early funding has already been released by UNCERF to enable affected communities to prepare and to ensure the safety of lives. Fletcher said, “Early action saves lives.”
