Trump: The US is safer and stronger than it was two years ago
Washington, July 31 (Hibya) – United States (US) President Donald Trump said during the first cabinet meeting to be broadcast live from Camp David that his administration had made significant progress in security, the economy, and defense.
Trump said, “We are making an unprecedented investment in the US Armed Forces. We aim to reach a budget of $1.5 trillion next year, and all of it will be spent on equipment manufactured in the United States.”
Claiming that they inherited the country in a state of “total disaster” when they took office, Trump said, “The previous administration left behind the highest inflation in 48 years, the most insecure border in history, and unprecedented trade deficits. Despite this, in less than 18 months, we reversed four years of destruction, and today America has the strongest border in its history.”
Trump also claimed, “Illegal entries across the southern border have been at zero for the past 15 months,” and “The murder rate has recorded the largest decline ever, falling to its lowest level in 125 years.”
