Trump: Kennedy Center is on the brink of collapse, and only I can save it
Washington, September 15 (Hibya) - US President Donald Trump said the Kennedy Center has effectively been on the brink of collapse for years, stating that loss of life was narrowly avoided after pieces of concrete and steel fell from the ceiling and stressing that he is the only person who can save the building.
United States President Donald Trump issued a sharp statement regarding the physical safety of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Kennedy Center) and the ongoing legal process. In his written statement, Trump emphasized that the structure has effectively been on the verge of collapse for many years, saying that a large piece of concrete and steel crashed to the floor from the ceiling of one of the heavily used main corridors. Trump said the fact that the building was not open to visitors at the time prevented a tragedy, adding that a security guard had passed through the area just 60 seconds before the ceiling collapsed and escaped certain death by mere seconds.
