Trump: Fuel prices should fall faster
Washington, June 24 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump stated that despite the decline in oil prices, fuel prices have not fallen at the same rate, and announced that he had instructed the Department of Justice (DOJ) to launch a review of the matter.
U.S. President Donald Trump said that oil companies are not adequately reflecting the decline in crude oil costs in fuel prices.
Trump noted that oil prices have fallen rapidly, but that fuel prices have not seen a comparable decline. Stating that consumers are being negatively affected by this situation, Trump said that the pricing policies of major oil companies should be examined.
Trump announced that he had instructed the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to initiate the necessary investigations into the matter.
Emphasizing that fuel prices should decrease faster than they currently are, Trump said that the declines in the oil market should be passed on to consumers to a greater extent.
