Rome, January 16 (Hibya) — Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani emphasized that the Arctic is becoming an increasingly strategic region for Italy’s political, economic and scientific interests.
Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani stated that the Arctic is becoming increasingly strategic for Italy’s political, economic and scientific interests.

We want to deepen relations with Arctic countries, contribute to Euro-Atlantic security, strengthen research programs and create new economic opportunities for our companies,” he said.
Tajani also announced the decision to establish a business roundtable dedicated to the Arctic with Italian companies from key sectors such as defense, energy, environment and space, taking into account the next systemic mission to the region.
