Sybiha: We hope for more freedom for the people of Syria
Kyiv, December 8 (Hibya) – Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that they will continue supporting Syria on the first anniversary of the fall of the Assad regime.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha made a statement on the fall of the Assad regime, saying, “Today marks one year since the fall of the Assad regime in Syria. Justice and freedom have prevailed.”
Sybiha added, “During my visit to Damascus last December, Ukraine offered assistance to help restore normal life. This assistance included wheat flour to strengthen food security.”
Speaking about the restoration of relations between the two countries, he said, “With the meeting between our President Volodymyr Zelensky and President Ahmed al-Sharaa, we restored our diplomatic relations.”
Sybiha concluded, “We hope for more stability, security, and freedom for the people of Syria. Ukraine is ready to continue providing support and to develop mutually beneficial relations, remaining your friend.”
