Sybiha: Russia’s attacks are war crimes
Kyiv, April 16 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Russia has carried out large-scale drone and missile attacks against Ukraine.
Sybiha noted that over the past day, Russia attacked Ukraine with approximately 700 unmanned aerial vehicles along with numerous ballistic and cruise missiles.
He emphasized that the attacks primarily targeted civilians, stating that at least 4 people, including a 12-year-old child, were killed in Kyiv and more than 50 people were injured. Sybiha reported that 8 people were killed in Odesa, 3 in Dnipro, and many others were injured, while 1 person lost their life in Zaporizhzhia.
Stressing that these attacks cannot be normalized, Sybiha said, “These are war crimes that must be stopped, and those responsible must be held accountable.”
Calling on the international community, Sybiha stated that pressure on Russia should be increased and that sanctions and support packages for Ukraine must not be delayed.
Sybiha also called on states to notify the Council of Europe and join the special tribunal to be established for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
