Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha posted on social media about his phone call with German Foreign Minister Wadephul.

Sybiha said he briefed Wadephul on Russia's intensifying attacks on Ukrainian cities and their consequences for the population and civilian infrastructure. Stating that strengthening Ukraine's air defense was urgent as winter approached, Sybiha said efforts were needed to prevent Moscow from turning winter into a weapon against Ukraine.

Thanking Germany for its leadership in strengthening Ukraine's air defense and for its support in meeting his country's urgent needs, Sybiha said this assistance was producing tangible results on the ground.

Sybiha also said the conversation addressed the importance of expanding cooperation between Ukrainian and German companies across all sectors, with particular focus on the defense industry, investment, energy, technology and joint projects.

Sybiha said there was significant potential to transform the strong political partnership between the two countries into deeper economic and industrial ties.
