According to CCTV, steel futures contracts on the Shanghai Futures Exchange ended Monday's trading session lower.
The most actively traded rebar contract, for January 2027 delivery, fell 1.05 percent from its previous settlement price to close at 3,007 yuan (approximately $451.43) per tonne.
The hot-rolled coil contract for January 2027 delivery declined 0.72 percent to 3,156 yuan (approximately $473.80) per tonne.

Both contracts are among the world's most actively traded steel futures and serve as important price benchmarks in the Chinese and global steel markets.
