Sharif condemns attack on Riyadh airport
Islamabad, October 11 (Hibya) - Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Sharif extended his condolences to the families of those killed and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
In a statement on social media, Sharif said attacks targeting civilians and critical infrastructure were unacceptable and threatened regional peace and stability. He said such acts of violence constituted a clear violation of international law and called for an immediate end to the attacks.
Sharif emphasized that Pakistan stands in solidarity with the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia, adding that in line with the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement and the historic ties between the two countries, Pakistan would continue to support Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security.
