Selling pressure dominates US stock markets
Istanbul, September 15 (Hibya) - US markets were dominated by red during the week's trading session.
US markets showed a negative trend during the week's trading session. All major indices posted losses, with the sharpest decline seen in the Nasdaq 100 index, which is heavily weighted toward technology stocks.
The Nasdaq 100 index fell 0.82 percent to 29,127.158 points, while the Nasdaq index declined 0.56 percent to trade at 26,186.413 points.
The S&P 500 index fell 0.48 percent to 7,619.98 points, while the Russell 2000 (RUSS 2K) index, which tracks small-cap companies, declined 0.40 percent to 2,892.237 points. The Dow Jones (DJIA) index ended the day at 52,421.20 points, down 0.29 percent.
