Sanchez: We will continue our support for Lebanon
New York, September 22 (Hibya) - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said during his meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam that his country would continue to support Lebanon following the conclusion of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) mission.
According to a statement by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Lebanon's security and stability were discussed during the meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in New York.
Sanchez said Spain would work together with its European partners to strengthen the capabilities of the Lebanese Armed Forces. He said support for Lebanon's sovereignty, security and territorial integrity would continue, adding that the ceasefire must be fully respected and dialogue should pave the way for lasting peace.
