Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Singapore’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kevin Cheok and discussed strengthening economic and political relations between the two countries.

Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, Saidov said: "I noted that there is significant potential to advance cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, and investment."

Referring to the efficiency of contacts between the foreign ministries, Saidov stated:
"Today, I welcomed the results of the latest political consultations held between the foreign ministries of the two countries."

Saidov concluded his statement by saying: "I expressed my confidence that the agreements reached will contribute to further strengthening our bilateral cooperation."
